Vinyl Liner Care

On average, vinyl liners last around 8-10 years. We want to make sure you're doing what you can to take care of your liner to make it last as long as possible. Here are some things to look out for:

1. Chemistry: Chemicals can easily damage your liner. Make sure when adding chemicals you aren't just dumping them in and letting them sit on the bottom. Chlorine especially will bleach the liner or cause wrinkles to form if its not brushed in. Its best practice to not keep the chlorine in the pool too high and pH in range. 3ppm of Chlorine is plenty and 7.2-7.8 is the pH range. Chlorine too high will bleach the liner and make it brittlely faster. pH out of range becomes very acidic and can also make the liner brittle.

2. Maintenance Tools: Its important to be very careful when youre cleaning the pool to not be too aggressive on the liner and using the right tools. Make sure you use a vacuum head with soft bristles and don't get too agressive when brushing the pool. The most sensitive areas are the seams and any place the liner is cut like skimmers and main drains. Gently brush these areas to avoid acidental holes.

3. Water level: Keep water on the liner at all times. NEVER fully drain the pool. ??
